Company Overview

The Chef Project Sdn. Bhd. is a culinary consultancy and food service solutions company headquartered in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Founded by Abdul Kadir Razak and Chef Rajak, seasoned culinary professionals, the company specializes in food operations, central kitchen management, menu development, and catering for high-volume industrial projects.

We are known for our hands-on approach, operational expertise, and tailored culinary solutions that align with large-scale food demands, including oil & gas sites, canteen operations, private events, and corporate catering.

Chef Abdul Kadir Razak is a highly accomplished culinary leader with nearly 40 years of global experience across luxury hotels, airlines, cruise lines, and corporate food service operations. He has led major hospitality brands such as Shangri-La, Sheraton, and Pan Pacific, catering to VVIP events including the Sultan Johor Coronation and Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Office.

From 2016 to 2023, Chef Kadir served as Executive Chef and later Head of Food & Beverage at TMRLC Services, managing large-scale operations for the PETRONAS RAPID Pengerang Integrated Complex, serving over 3,000 diners daily.

An academic contributor and mentor, he has trained future chefs at University Putra Malaysia, holds a Master’s in Food Business (Culinary Institute of America), and numerous certifications in HACCP, leadership, and culinary management.

Internationally decorated, Chef Kadir has won over 15 medals in world-class competitions and was named Most Outstanding Chef of the Year by the Malaysian Chef Association. Today, through The Project Chef, he continues to elevate culinary standards and inspire excellence across Malaysia and beyond.

Abdul Kadir Razak led major food operation projects under TMRLC Services Sdn. Bhd. during the early phase of RAPID Pengerang, overseeing:

  • Central kitchen feeding 3,000 pax daily at The HIVE Residence
  • VIP and Executive meal programs
  • Full setup, SOPs, and foodservice for PETRONAS C-level guests

Currently, Abdul Kadir is also a shareholder and consultant with MZ Facilities Management, providing active catering services to RAPID facilities.
